Statement
自分の生活を通して見た、絵にしなければ忘れてしまうような些細で取り留めのない瞬間、その時に自分が感じていたことを描いています。
絵の中に登場する人物に具体的なモデルはいません。
自分であって、同時に誰でもない、曖昧な人間を意識して人を描いています。
I paint trivial incoherent moments that I encounter in my life, and what I was feeling in the moment, that would be forgotten if I didn’t paint them.
There are no specific models for the people who appear in my paintings.
I try to paint people as vague humans that are also myself, yet nobody at the same time.

井上息吹は、日々の営みを静かに見つめ、その中に自らの姿を素直に映し出してきました。色彩は澄んだ響きをもち、感覚や発想は素朴でありながら深い魅力を放ちます。その根底には、私達人間の内に宿るアニマとアニムスの揺らぎがあり、作品はその対話の痕跡として立ち現れます。日々描きためられたドローイングブックは、彼の存在を思索へと開き、未だ名づけ得ぬ未来のかたちを静かに呼び寄せています。

Ibuki Inoue quietly observes daily life, and has projected himself honestly within it. His colours have a pure sound, and his sensations and ideas are simple yet radiate a deep beauty. The fluctuation of the anima and animus that resides within us humans is at the root of this; his artwork manifests as traces of this dialogue. His drawing book filled with daily drawings, opens his existence to speculation, and quietly calls forth a form of future yet to be named.
