米村優人 Yuto Yonemura

美術家。1996年大阪府生まれ。京都市在住。2019年、京都造形芸術大学（現 京都芸術大学）美術工芸学科総合造形コース卒業。近年の展覧会等に、屋外彫刻《AGARUMANS (Best Friend)》「ART SCRAMBLE」(グランフロント大阪、2021年)、個展「BAROM（あるいは幾つかの長い話）」（京都市京セラ美術館、京都、 2023年)、個展「米村優人のゼツエンピープル」（EUKARYOTE、東京、2025年）や、グループ展「motivated bodies」（駒込倉庫、東京、2024年）や「自生するキメラ」（BnA Alter Museum、京都、2025年）、「Pavilion０」（葛西臨海公園、東京、2025年）など行っている。藤本流位とのユニット「John Gan Jihn」を2019年に結成。流動的にメンバーを募りながらたまに活動している。近年の活動として「don’t dramatic serenade」（豊田市美術館庭園内、愛知、2025年）などがある。
神話上の神々などといった人智を超えた圧倒的な存在や、自身の個人的経験に基づいた特定の人物への憧れや興味から、粘度、石、FRP など多様な素材を用い「超人像」と呼ぶ彫刻作品を制作している。
物理的な関係性で語られる独自の物語の創出しつつ、痛みや恐れ、憧れ、畏怖の念等の内的な感情も内包することを模索している。
Born in 1996 in Osaka Prefecture, Yonemura Yuto is a Kyoto-based artist. He graduated with a degree in mixed media from the Department of Fine and Applied Arts, Kyoto University of Art and Design (current Kyoto University of the Arts). Major exhibitions include the outdoor sculpture “AGARUMANS (Best Friend)” ART SCRAMBLE (Grand Front Osaka, 2021), solo exhibitions “BAROM (and/or several long stories)” (Kyoto City Kyocera Museum of Art, Kyoto, 2023) and “Yuto Yonemura’s Zetsuen People” (EUKARYOTE, Tokyo, 2025). Group exhibitions include “motivated bodies” (Komagome Soko, Tokyo, 2024), “Spontaneous Chimeras” (BnA Alter Museum, Kyoto, 2025), and “Pavilion 0” (Kasai Rinkai Park, Tokyo, 2025). Formed the unit “John Gan Jihn” with Rui Fujimoto in 2019. The duo occasionally engages in activities, recruiting members fluidly on a project-by-project basis. Recent activities include the “don’t dramatic serenade” (Toyota Municipal Museum of Art Garden, Aichi, 2025).
From an interest and admiration towards existences beyond the human understanding such as mythological deities, and specific people based on personal experiences, Yonemura creates sculptures named “Cho-Jin-Zo (Super Human Sculpture)” using different materials such as clay, stone and FRP. Yonemura develops original stories narrated with physical associations, in which he explores the internal emotions of pain, fear and admiration.
