1998年熊本県生まれ。2025年東京藝術大学大学院修士課程修了。
Born in Kumamoto in 1998. Completed her master’s degree at Tokyo University of the Arts in 2025.

──異なる技法、素材が持つ癖とイメージとの景色を描いている。

——I paint landscapes of the habits and images that different methods and materials have.

The relationship Sakai’s work has to its frame, is somewhat different to that of other people. Perhaps it’s very new, perhaps it’s old. Her work has a quality and elegance to it that is very intriguing, though difficult to put into words. I recommended her as this is not something attainable through learning.
