大巻伸嗣 Shinji Ohmaki

1971年岐阜市生まれ。東京芸術大学大学院美術研究科彫刻専攻修了。東京藝術大学美術学部教授。
Born in 1971, in Gifu. Graduated from the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, Department of Sculpture. Professor, Faculty of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts.
Experience
「存在」とは何かをテーマに制作活動を展開する。
環境や他者といった外界と、記憶や意識などの内界、その境界である身体の関係性を探り、三者の間で揺れ動く、曖昧で捉えどころのない「存在」に迫るための身体的時空間の創出を試みる。
近年の主な展覧会に、「Interface of Being 真空のゆらぎ 」(国立新美術館,2023)、「地平線のゆくえ 」(弘前レンガ倉庫美術館,2023)、「The Depth of Light」（A4 美術館/成都,2023）、「存在のざわめき」（関渡美術館/台北,2020）など。「Rain」(愛知県芸術劇場,2023)、横浜ダンスコレクション2019「Futuristic Space」(横浜赤レンガ倉庫)などパフォーマンス作品も展開。東京ガーデンテラス紀尾井町、Ijlst(オランダ)、Morpheus hotel at City of Dreams(マカオ)などパブリックアートも多く手がけている。
Shinji Ohmaki’s artistic activity explores the theme and question of existence.
The external world involving the environment and others, the internal world of memory and consciousness; this is an exploration of the body which lies between the boundaries of these worlds, aiming to create a bodily experience that captures the ambiguity of how these worlds interact with each other and move according to time and space.
His main solo exhibitions include “Interface of Being” (The National Art Center, Tokyo, 2023), “Before and After the Horizon” (Hirosaki Museum of Contemporary Art, Hirosaki, 2023), “The Depth of Light” (A4 Art Museum, Chengdu, 2023) and “Rustle of Existence” (Kuandu Museum of Fine Arts, Taipei, 2020). In recent years, he further explores performance art with “Rain” (Aichi Prefectural Art Theater, Nagoya, 2023), YOKOHAMA DANCE COLLECTION 2019, Ella Rothschild “Futuristic Space” (Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse) etc. He has also created public art in many places around the world, including Tokyo Garden Terrace Kioicho, IJlst – 11fountains project (Netherlands), Morpheus hotel at City of Dreams (Macau), and Takamatsu Port.
