下村悠天の作品はデジタルデバイスを通した感覚を絵画に反映することで、複数の空間をシームレスに生み出している。アニメや漫画、インターネット文化を参照し、デジタルとアナログの差異を扱う他の数多くの作品の中で、下村悠天の作品はユーモアに溢れた手法と小気味の良さで際立っている。そのイメージや素材への向き合い方に、現代のリアルな感性を垣間見るようでとても興味深い。

Yutaka Shimomura’s artwork seamlessly generates multiple dimensions by reflecting the sensations felt through digital devices onto paintings. Out of the many artworks that explore the differences between digital and analogue, referring to anime, manga, and the internet culture, Yutaka Shimomura’s work stands out with his humorous methods and briskness. It is interesting, as if to see a little of the raw senses of modern day, in his way of confronting images and materials.
