He works as a car designer for Toyota Boshoku in Japan.
He is a painter who expresses the afterlife ‘purgatory’.
An artist without boundaries, SIM_Moby.
First, he has no boundary between online and offline, physical and digital.
Second, he places no boundary between design and art.
Third, he places no boundary between life and death. SIM_Purgatory, his artwork universe, does not have ‘life’ or ‘death’.

Statement
一つの命を産む事は
一つの死を産むのと同じである。
この幼年期の悟りから
生/史以前の空間、死から自由な転生前の空間、
煉獄を表現する。
SIM_Scenery は「煉獄の風景」を意味するシリーズであり、
永遠に自由な来世の世界観を作るために、作家は
アクリルや水彩ではなくデジタルで作品を完成して記録する。
“Giving birth to one life is same as giving birth to one death.”
From this childhood realization
I express the space before life/death, the space before reincarnation, “SIM_Purgatory”
that is free from death.
SIM_Scenery is a series that means “The scenery of Purgatory”,
In order to create an eternally free universe of the afterlife,
I complete and record my work digitally instead of using acrylic or watercolor.

線は、数学における基礎的な概念であるが，長い歴史の間で線の定義は与えられていないそうである。そして線は、点が連なっていくことで出来上がる細長い一続きの図形でもある。存在する定義を持たず、終わりのない図形を作り続ける線は、シムジェスンの作品そのものではないか。それは、この世界に点を打つことで永遠にループする線を生み出す作業の連続であり、彼が望まず得た生を確認するための世界への問いかけでもある。

Though lines are a fundamental concept in mathematics, lines apparently have not been given a definition in this long history. A line is also a thin, long, geometric shape formed by continuous points. With no definition to its existence, continuing to form shapes with no end, the line is exactly Sim Jaeseung’s artwork. It is a continuous process of formulating lines that loop infinitely by placing points in this universe, and also his question towards the world to confirm the unrequested life that he has gained.
