池上高志 Takashi Ikegami

Profile

教授。理博(東京大学、物理学, 1989). 京大基研、神戸大を経て、1994年より東京大学広域システム科学系准教授。2007年より現職。専門は複雑系の科学、人工生命。
2018年、ALIFE国際会議を主催。 2020年 Conf. Complex Systems, 2019年 SWARM 国際会議　などでの基調講演多数。著書に、
動きが生命をつくる（青土社 2007), 人間と機械のあいだ（共著、講談社、2016)、作って動かすALIFE（共著、オライリージャパン, 2018）など。
また、アート活動として、Filmachine( with 渋谷慶一郎, YCAM 2006), MindTime Machine( YCAM, 2010) , Scary Beauty( with 渋谷慶一郎, 2018), 傀儡神楽(2020)、Alternative Machineとして SnowCrash(WhiteHouse 2021), VR ReverseDestiny Bridge(あいち2022) などを行っている。

Professor. PhD in Physics, Tokyo University, 1989. After posts at the Kyoto University Yukawa Institute for Theoretical Physics and Kobe University, he became an associate professor at the Tokyo University General Systems Studies in 1994, and assumed his current post as of 2007. Research fields are complex systems and artificial life. He organised the international conference ALIFE in 2018. He has held many keynote speeches including at the 2020 Conf. Complex Systems, and 2019 SWARM International Symposium. Literary works include Life appears in motion (Seidosha, 2007), Between Man and Machine (co-authored, Kodansha, 2016), How to Make and Run ALife (co-authored, O’Reilly Japan, 2018).

Artistic activities include Filmachine (with Keiichiro Shibuya and YCAM, 2006), Mind Time Machine (with YCAM, 2010), Scary Beauty (Keiichiro Shibuya, 2018), ALTER the Android KAGURA (2020), Alternative Machine SnowCrash (WhiteHouse, 2021), VR Reverse Destiny Bridge (AICHI 2022).
