Statement
「偶然性・無作為性・手作業と機械作業の境界・労働」をテーマに、主に平面作品を制作している。乱数による指示を元にイメージを作り上げていく方法は、制作過程で生じる躊躇い を排除し、無意識的で純粋な行為を映し出すためのものである。機械的に引かれた線にも固 有の表情が生まれるように、淡々とした日常を見つめ直すために制作する。
I mainly create two-dimensional artwork under the themes of accidentality, randomness, the boundary between manual and mechanical work, and labor.
The method of creating an image based on instructions by random numbers, eliminates hesitation that occurs in the production process, and projects unconscious and pure action. I create work to reflect on the indifferent daily life, just like how lines drawn mechanically also have unique expressions.

With an interest in fortuity and randomness, Miura makes game-like rules for production. In his artwork, lines are depicted repeatedly on the screen according to instructions by random numbers that attempt to erase the artist’s will, and then becomes a beautiful painting in the automatism-like approach and the displacement that results from it.
