Statement
自身で撮影した膨大な量の写真をコンピュータに取り込み、切り抜き重ね合わせることで映像を作る。
その制作のプロセスと映像イメージは、デジタルメディアやインターネットを介しておこなわれる現代的なコミュニケーションや記録のあり方を想起させる。
Yuki Hayashi creates animated works by cutting and combining on the computer, some of the many photographs and videos he has taken.
Sometimes there may be photographs that have been uploaded to the internet.
His production process and videos reflect on the modern ways of communication and documentation, conducted via the internet and digital media.

かそけき人物。かそけき事物。それらが重力を持たずに空間に偏満し、互いに関係を結びつつ離れてはまた結びつく。まるで、広大な宇宙空間で星々たちが対話するように。強い大きな物語の時代はすでに終わり、個人のかそけき小さな世界こそが重要である今。それでも、その小さな世界は孤立して生きれない。緩やかに他世界との関係を離合集散を繰り返しながら紡いでいく。そうした、これからの新しい世界観を彼は提示しているのだ。
宮島達男
Evanescent humans. Evanescent things. They fill the air without gravity, connecting relations with each other, moving away, and connecting again. It is just like how the stars converse with each other in the vast space. The days of strong and large stories are over; today, individual evanescent and small worlds are of importance. Even then, the small worlds cannot live on their own.
They weave a story by repeating, slowly connecting and parting relations with other worlds.
