油野愛子 Aiko Yuno

1993年大阪府生まれ。
京都芸術大学大学院美術専攻総合造形領域修了。
幼少期に想像していた未来への夢や期待を、日常に みる現実社会との違いを交えて制作。子どもから大人になる過程に生まれる違和感、悲しみ・喜び・怒りといった感情の束 の間の衝動を、絵画やブロンズ作品、インスタレーションなど多岐にわたる手法を用いた表現で試みる。
2017年年ロイヤ ル・カレッジ・オブ・アート(ロンドン)短期留学。
2018年関渡美術館交換派遣研究員レジデンスプログラム(台湾)に参 加。
2017年CAF賞入選(東京)、2019年群馬青年ビエンナーレ入選(群馬)。
Born in Osaka in 1993.
Completed the Mixed Media course of the Graduate School of Art, Kyoto University of the Arts.
Yuno mixes the dreams and expectations towards the future that she had imagined in her childhood, with the difference to the real world observed in daily life.
She attempts to express the fleeting impulses of emotions such as uncomfortableness, sadness, joy and anger, through a wide range of techniques including painting, bronze work and installations. Studied short-term abroad at the Royal College of Art (London), 2017.
Participated in the Kuandu Museum of Fine Arts Exchange Dispatch Researcher Residence Program (Taiwan), 2018. Awarded the 2017 CAF Award (Tokyo) and was selected for the 2019 Gunma Youth Biennale (Gunma).

Statement
物語にある「ハッピーエンド」というお決まりの言葉が、平穏と幸福感をもたらすと同時に、現実という不確かな世界の両方を示している様に、私は、自身の子どもの頃の記憶や体験をもとに、かつて想像していた未来への夢や期待を日常にみる現実社会との違いを交えて、悲しいことや嬉しいこと、怒りといった感情の束の間の衝動を、映画のワンシーンの様に切り取る作品作りをしている。
The classic word “happy ending” of stories, brings peace and happiness, but at the same time shows the uncertain reality of the world; in the same way, by mixing my childhood memories and experiences, and the dreams and expectations I had imagined towards the future, with the difference in the actual society seen in everyday life, I create work that captures the fleeting emotions such as sadness, happiness and anger, like a scene from a movie.

“An inner impulse desiring to gain something I lack, like a longing for abundance; and the destined encounter with the uncertainty and dangers of the world often experienced in life.” The energy that radiates from Yuno’s work, is showing a momentum like a torrent in this moment. We are first drawn to the dynamism of the object’s (the artwork) material as we see her work, but through betrayal of the surface, lead to the existence of what should not be seen. With information and body complexly entangled, and remodeled into a new form of life, how will we today confront the abstract energy (Eros) of the ego, that is instinctive yet also feels other. Her installation that attempts to go back and forth between two and three dimensions, will teach us how our inner power can appear most deeply on the surface.
