Statement
物体または事象が持っている性質・特性・文脈に着目し、そこに作家自身が特異なプロセスを経させることで、本来よりも拡大されたその「物」をつくりあげ、提示する。
Focusing on the properties, characteristics and context of an object or event, the artist then puts these through a specific process, to create and present the “thing” as more magnified than the original.

鉱物の定義を参照すれば、一定の化学組成と結晶構造を有する無機質の固体物質とある。ただ、この組成と構造に疑いを持っている人物がひとり。それが山本である。彼独自の視点から組成を組み替え、構造を脱臼させる。そこに見える新たな物質、もしくは事象に我が目はいつも奪われるのだ。

If you look up the definition of a mineral, it says an inorganic solid substance with a specific chemical composition and crystal structure. However, someone doubts this composition and structure. This is Yamamoto. He rearranges compositions and dislocates structures from an original perspective. My eyes are always captivated by the new substances or phenomena found there.
