2019年 ナント高等美術学校修士課程 修了
現在は横浜市を拠点に、普遍的な要素からなる風景及びその空間について絵画作品を制作している。
Born in Hyogo in 1989. Graduated from Nantes Saint-Nazaire School of Fine Arts (MFA) in 2019.
Currently based in Yokohama, she creates paintings about landscapes that consist of universal elements and their spaces.

Statement
風土は人間が把握することが出来ない程の大きな時間軸を持って存在する。そして、その風土と切り離して人間を捉えることは困難である。
人間は風土から影響を受けて独自の文化を構築するが、そこには風土の差異があるにも関わらず時代や地域を超えた相似性があることも確かである。
その様な現象の中には、人々が抱える問題の隣でお互いに寄り添うことを可能にする何かがあるのではないか。
私は絵画を通してそれを探そうとしている。
The cultural climate exists on so large a time scale that it is impossible for humans to grasp. It is also difficult to grasp mankind in isolation from the climate.
Humans construct their own culture under the influence of the climate, however it is also true that there are similarities that transcend time and region, despite the differences in climate.
Inside such phenomena, there may be something that will let people lean on each other, next to the troubles they have. I try to search for this through my paintings.

小西の作品を初めて見たとき、特異な絵画空間と透明感に目を奪われた。画面の中に配置された、多面体や山、アルファベット、斜線、格子、などの謎めいた記号達は、この世界の騒音から切り離された場へと私たちを誘う。

My eyes were captivated by the distinct space and transparency of the paintings when I first saw Konishi’s work. The mysterious symbols of polyhedrons, mountains, the alphabet, lines, lattices positioned in the screen, invite us to a place away from the noise of this world.
