宮原野乃実 Nonomi Miyahara
Profile
2015年京都造形大学美術工芸学科総合造形コース卒業。日本の近現代史と自身の関係を軸に、直接経験していない過去の歴史に対して同アプローチをするのかをテーマに制作をしている。陶製手榴弾の上に周辺の住宅街の街並みをジオラマとして組み合わせた《ざくろ》、海岸に流れ着いた陶片や人工物と積み上げられていく海上輸送コンテナの風景を重ね合わせた《DRIFT》など、時間や歴史（来歴）を語る陶磁器と、身の回りの日用品などを組み合わせた作品を発表している。

Her work focuses on her relationship with modern Japanese history based on, as its theme, how to approach the past that has not been directly experienced.
Presented works such as “Zakuro” and “DRIFT” that combine ceramics and daily necessities that tell the story of time and history.

Statement
私はこれまで、過去の出来事や体験できなかった近現代の歴史を自分なりに追体験して捉えようと試みながら、同時に自分の立ち位置や現在との関係性を見つけようとしてきました。
それらを具体的に想像し実感する為に題材となる土地でのリサーチを行い、その土地で拾い集めた素材や見聞きした出来事や景色を結びつけて作品制作をしながら、過去や歴史に対してどうアプローチすることができるのかを模索しています。
Until now, I have tried to produce artwork that investigates the relationship between everyday life in the present and a deep, historical past that I have not experienced.
In order to concretely imagine and realize the relationship, I research local themes for my artworks while seeking ways to approach the past and history by connecting collected materials, events, and landscapes I have seen and heard in the area.

宮原の作品は、宮原自身による歴史的視座によって作られている。対象となった過去の出来事や事物を追うことから始めるが、それは、いわゆるフィールドワークではない。そこで起きた事実を自身がリサーチを進めていくに従い生まれてくる心情や思考を丁寧に拾い上げ、過ぎた時間やモノや場所に宿る記憶とつなぎ合わせていく。過去と現在をつなぐ点を模索する行為そのものが作品となっている。

Miyahara’s artwork is created from her own historical perspective. Although this begins from pursuing the events and the past of her subject, it is not the average fieldwork. She carefully picks up the emotions and thoughts that are born as she researches the facts that happened, and connects them with the memories that lie in past time, things, and places. The act of searching for points of connection between past and present itself, becomes the artwork.
