志賀耕太 Kota Shiga

Profile

1998年東京生まれ。東京芸術大学大学院美術研究科博士後期課程在籍。都市の中で、道具や空間、アーキテクチャが持つ規則を流用し、被虐的に「遊ぶ」パフォーマンスの映像作品を制作する他、自らの物語やアクションを中心にしたショートフィルムを発表している。また、映画や出版の企画をコレクティブtatazumiとして行っている。

Born in Tokyo in 1998. Doctoral student at the Graduate School of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts. In addition to creating video works of performances that “play” with the city in an oppressive manner, appropriating the rules of tools, space, and architecture, he also presents short films that focus on his own narratives and actions. He also organizes film and publication projects as the collective tatazumi.

現代の世界に抗う生存のスタイルとして、パフォーマンス、映像を制作しています。

I create performances and videos as a style of survival against the contemporary world.

半透明のビニールシートのような純度を持った作家。素通りできない引力は、そのようなくすみに起因するのかもしれない。水清ければ魚棲まず。クリアなレンズからは生まれない映像表現、半透明の美学に半信半疑で身を委ねてみてほしい。おそらく、その包容力に誰もが赤面するはずだ。

He is an artist of purity like a translucent vinyl sheet. The gravity that cannot go unnoticed, may come from such dullness. Clear water is avoided by fish. A visual expression that could not come from a clear lens – try to give into the translucent aesthetics even in half doubt. I feel anyone would blush at its deep capacity.
