幼少期の魔法の杖のような武器作りから始まりGraffitiへ、そしてドローイングからペインティングそしてまた杖を作る…様々な表現を往復しながら作品を創り続けている。
触覚的に手を動かし描かれるNAZEのドローイングは様々な表情を見せる。
contact Gonzoとしても活動。

NAZE started off with making weapons like the magic wand during childhood, then moved on to graffiti, to drawing and painting, and back to making wands… He continues to create artwork going back and forth between various expressions.
NAZE’s drawings, drawn by tactilely moving his hand, show various expressions. Also takes part in the performance group “contact Gonzo”.

Statement

NAZEになった日から始まった表現はいつまで続くのだろうと考えては忘れて。続く創作の中で誰が作ったかわからない古代の作品に今も憧れている。学校の帰り道に作った15cmの槍は誰が作ったのだろう。オルターエゴの中で生きて居るような気がする。映画の怪獣の中は誰なんだろう。誰も知らない場所に残した痕跡はいつかは誰かに見つかってしまうのかなとワクワクしている。欲は面白い。

I keep thinking and forgetting about how long the expressions that started from the day I became NAZE will last.
In the eternity of creation, I still admire the ancient works of which I do not know who made. Who made the 15cm spear that I made on my way home from school? I feel like I am alive in an Alter Ego. Who is the monster in the movie? I’m excited that someone may find the traces I’ve left in a place no one knows.
Greed is interesting.

NAZEが描くものはどれもかわいい。が故に憎悪や狂気を垣間見ることができる。NAZEが描くものはどれもこわい。が故に愛嬌や優しさが溢れている。彼の身体としての器に、何かが入り込んでいるのか、出ようとしているのか、彼の創作はそれとの折り合いをつける為の儀式的な行為に感じる。我々はその刹那的な表現を目の当たりにするとき、自身を投影した無限の表情を体感するだろう。

Everything NAZE draws is cute. Which is why we can see the hatred and insanity. Everything NAZE draws is scary. Which is why they are full of charm and kindness. What is entering the vessel of his body, and what is trying to get out? I feel as if his creative process is like a ritual to come to compromise with these things. When we come to face these instantaneous expressions, we experience infinite expressions that reflect our own selves.
