高瀬栞菜 Kanna Takase
Profile
1994年大阪府生まれ。2020年京都市立芸術大学大学院絵画専攻修了。受賞歴に京都市立芸術大学2017年度作品展同窓会賞受賞。個展に2020年ギャラリーモーニング「まひるののこりもの」(京都)。2019年「From the Youth」青春画廊千北（京都）、「京都アートラウンジ」スターバックスコーヒー京都三条大橋店（京都）、2020 「壺つぼツボ展」ギャラリー恵風（京都）等のグループ展にも参加。日常の中のモノやコトをメモに残し、それを基盤に絵の中だからこそ許される幻影的な世界を構築し、どこか不穏でユーモラスな物語を探っている。
Born in Osaka, 1994. Graduated from Kyoto City University of Arts Graduate School of Arts with a degree in painting.
Awards include Kyoto City University of Arts 2017 Exhibition Alumni Award. Solo exhibitions include ”Midday leftovers” Gallery Morning (Kyoto), 2020. Group exhibitions include “From the Youth” Gallery of the Youth (Kyoto), “Kyoto Art Lounge” Starbucks Coffee Kyoto Sanjo Ohashi (Kyoto), and “Tsubo Tsubo Tsubo” Gallery Keifu (Kyoto).
I make notes of things and matters from daily life, to build a fantastic world that can only exist inside paintings, and search for disturbing and humorous stories.

Statement
日常の中で気になるモノやコトを日々メモに残し、その言葉を基盤にして画面を作っていく。
絵の中だからこそ許される特別な空間、特別な世界に強く惹かれて制作しており、絵画表現における色や筆致、イメージの大小を操ることで、常識的な遠近感を狂わせる。その方法によって、言葉では説明できない不条理で幻影的な世界を構築し、その独自の世界から偶然現れるどこか不穏でユーモラスな、不思議な物語を探っている。
I make notes of things and matters from daily life, and then create images based on those words.
I have a strong attraction to the special space and world that are allowed to exist only inside paintings; by controlling the colors, touches, and the size of the images, I distort the ordinary senses of perspective. This helps me to build an irrational and fantastic world which can’t be explained by words, and I search for the disturbing, humorous, and mysterious stories which coincidentally appear from that world.

動物と人間の関係にはまだまだ言語化を阻む何かが横たわっている。2週間前に数多くの禁忌を不用意に犯して、我が子や肉親の全てを超越する存在として暮らしてしまった愛犬を突如として失った。その事象は動物と人間という区分けが意味を成さず、様々に巡らせる思索や発語も機能しないという事実のみを残した。このような状況下、「動物と人間」という重力から、言語の厄介な病理を拭い去ってくれたのが彼女の見慣れぬ寓話だった。

There is something that still hinders expressing in words the relationship between animals and humans. Two weeks ago, I lost my beloved dog who carelessly broke many taboos and lived as a being that transcended my children and any of my family. This event only left the fact, that there is no meaning in the classification of animal or human, and that no form of speculation or speech will function. Takase’s unfamiliar allegory was what wiped away the pathology of language from the gravity of ‘animal and human’, in a time like that.
