PROFILE
主にゴミや廃材などの収拾物、印刷物や写真など既存のモチーフに描くドローイング作品やgraffitiを用いた作品などを制作。
他にも武器、ゲーム、リメイクウェアなどバンドのアルバムジャケットや本の装丁なども手掛ける。
個人での活動の他にcontact Gonzoといったパフォーマンスグループでも活動。

NAZE creates drawings and graffiti art using collectibles such as waste and scrap materials, and existing motifs such as printed matter and photographs.
He also designs weapons, remake clothes, album covers, book covers and creates games.
He is also a member of contact Gonzo, a group of performance artists.

STATEMENT
心に染み付き奥に留めておく事しかできない
忘れたい記憶
生きていく中の些細なきっかけで突然こぼれだし
記憶は感情になり目の前にある現実と混ざり合っていく。
複雑に絡み合った感情を
解けないよう形に残す為に
なるべく無意識に線を描き
感情と重なった部分を描き起こしていく
その繰り返しで作品を描いている。
There are memories that I wish to forget, but are stuck deep inside my heart.
From trivial things in life, they suddenly spill out.
The memories turn into emotions, to mix with reality.
To keep these complex emotions from dissolving,
I try to draw unconsciously, to draw the parts that overlap these emotions.
I repeat this process in my artwork.

NAZEの作品には、秘密めいた儀式のような気配を感じます。それは都市と身体とイメージを爆破して歪に再構成されたような。ただの形式によってではではなく、造形行為によって都市の形やイメージを個人的なレベルから変形してしまうという意味で現代における真のグラフィティだと思います。

There is a sense of secretive rituals in NAZE’s works. It is as if the city, body and image have been blown apart to be distortedly recomposed. I believe that they are truly, graffiti of the modern times, in the way they transform the shape of the city and image from an individual level through the process of creating, not just being things of form.
