STATEMENT
1994年 秋田県生まれ。京都造形芸術大学芸術学部美術工芸学科卒業総合造形コース卒業。自身では制御することができない記憶や感覚、無意識に着目し制作を行う。主に布、樹脂、モーターを使用し、潜在的な感覚を意識させる彫刻作品を発表している。
Born in 1994, Akita. Graduated from the Department of Mixed Media, Kyoto University of Art and Design. Her work focuses on the memories, senses and unconsciousness that cannot be controlled. She creates sculptures that raises awareness towards latent senses using mainly textiles, resin and mortar.

村上美樹作品の特徴はドローイング、立体、映像とあらゆる素材表現を使いながら空間を謎解き迷路のように変質させる事である。
東北生まれの作家自身の体験を投影しているという抽象オブジェ群だが、観る者の集合的無意識に 呼びかけ、普遍的な神話物語の世界にいざなう力を持っている。

Miki Murakami’s works can be characterised by the transformation of a space into a mystery maze with the use of all kinds of material expression, including drawing, sculpture and video.
The abstract objects that reflect on the Tohoku-born artist’s background, have a power that calls upon the collective unconscious of viewers, to lead them into a world of universal mythology.
