STATEMENT
オーストラリアでは犬がガマガエルを舐めたがるという。
それは飼い主や他の人間には何の為にしているのか理解不明であるが、
実際に犬はガマガエルから分泌される興奮物質を含んだ体液をハイになる為に必死に舐めているのだ。
人間も然り、そのようなことをする。何によって恍惚状態が導かれるかどうかは個人によるものだが、
行為そのものがその個人を生み出している要因の一つでもある。
そしてそれは時々、通常的な道徳心から逸脱したり、羞恥心を刺激し自尊心を損なうものであったりする。
しかしそれでもなお続けてしまうのは、その行為による己にしか理解できない快を得られるだけではなく、
傷つけられた羞恥心や自尊心やそれによる悲しみ、
そしてその状況そのものを受け入れ愛でるナルシズムに溢れたエゴが存在するからである。
そのエゴは恍惚を得るのみでなく、当事者の意識に関わらず世界に対してなにかのささやかな影響を
常に生み出していると私は考える。それはDNA のように後世につたわっていくのだ。
Dogs in Australia have a tendency to lick toads.
Although people do not understand why they do this, it is because the dogs are licking the body fluids of the toads which contain stimulants to become hyper. Humans do similar things. What brings about ecstasy depends on the person, but the action itself is one of the things that creates that person.
It may sometimes be immoral, or something shameful that may harm one’s self-respect. Even then, one may continue this action because it is the only way they can gain such unknown ecstasies, and because they have an narcissistic ego that accepts the shame and harmed self-respect.
I believe that this ego not only gains ecstasy, but also influences the world in a way the person is not aware of. This is conveyed to following generations like a DNA.

皆藤齋は、「犬がガマガエルを舐めたがる」ことを例えに、行為そのものが個性を形成させると語る。ガマガエルには幻覚作用を引き起こす物質が含まれており、人間でもtoad licking（カエル舐め）と呼ばれるトリップ行為が存在するらしい。一見他者からは意味不明な行為の根底には、直接的な快楽だけではなく、己の羞恥心を煽り、自尊心を傷つけたいという人間特有のナルシスティックな本性が存在するのだ。時として極めて利己的に見える行為が、寧ろ社会と人間の関係性を強く顕在化させる。皆藤の美醜混融の人間生態を裸にする表現力は、まさに天賦の才である。

Itsuki Kaito explains that an action itself creates personality, giving the dogs’ tendency to lick toads as an example. Toads have a substance that brings about hallucination, and a trip-inducing action called toad-licking also exists within humans. What lies in this at a glance nonsensical action, is not just direct pleasure, but the narcissistic nature of humans to shame themselves, and to want to harm their self-respect. What may seem like a selfish act, may expose the relationship between the society and humans. Kaito’s expression that strips the human nature mixing beauty and ugliness is a natural gift.
