PROFILE

1991年福岡県生まれ。2014年京都造形芸術大学美術工芸学科総合造形ゼミ卒業。受賞歴に「群馬青年ビエンナーレ2019」、「トーキョーワンダーウォール2015」など。2019年10月には現在の活動拠点である徳島県神山町にて個展を開催。服のしわをモチーフとし、存在性をテーマにした作品を制作している。

STATEMENT

身体の表面として現れる衣服の「しわ」。それはその”内部の輪郭”を抽象化するものであると同時に、“身体そのもの”がそこに存在していることを具現化しているものである。
わたしはその衣服の「しわ」を通して、そこにある存在をみつめ、捕まえては、ひたすらに画面に閉じ込めている。

The “wrinkles” in clothes that appear as the surface of the body; they abstract the “inner outline” and at the same time embodies the existence of the body itself.
I observe existences through the “wrinkles” of clothes, and I trap them inside the screen.

TESTIMONIAL

東條由佳さんは大学2年生頃から知っている。作品への取り組み、粘り強さは一貫していた。最近、人の洋服の皺を画面に何百人と書きこむ作品を展開している。画面を見ているとそれが人の洋服の皺なのか、山脈なのか、人の体の一部を拡大した様子なのか、画面の中の立体感すら見えなくなる瞬間もあり、イメージが膨らんだり歪んだりして、ついつい目が離せなくなる。
