木村太一 / Taichi Kimura

Born in Tokyo in 1987, based in London.
He moved to England to study filmmaking when he was 12 and has lived in UK ever since. Taichi’s unusual background creates a unique visual, drawing inspiration from Japanese and British cultures. He quickly built a strong reputation for himself within the music industry and became an official videographer for many artists from different genres including Chase & Status, Professor Green and The Chemical Brothers. ‘LOST YOUTH’ in collaboration with Boiler Room, has been screened by 15 different film festivals since its release in 2016.

I think the fun of art is its imperfection. The blank space in art allows the audience to enter, and the work can then be established.
If it be a machine, it may be complete, but if it be a human, it will be distorted. The imperfection is beautiful and it may also be the only way to affirm that humans can be humans, and they can be themselves. To that end, you must first understand yourself correctly. Without it, we will not be able to understand or do art.
